Heavenly Father Loves all of His Children

Good morning friends and family!  It is morning here.  We pray all are doing well by the grace of God.

This last month has literally been a blur, but I will get started about all that we have been doing.  We had our handover ceremony of equipment for children and adults with physical and mental challenges.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints donated wheel chairs, lifting straps, shower chairs and sewing machines to this organization that helps the people who need these items.  You might ask why they needed sewing machines?  They teach the handicapped children and adults to sew items to sell to help them learn as much self reliance as they can.  This fit our plan of the kind of organizations that the church likes to help.  We also felt the love of Jesus Christ as we were helping them.  It was an experience that we will not forget.

This is our dear Elder Wright sharing our Savior's love with a young down syndrome boy and his mother

We also went to Drobo.  Drobo is a city north of Sunyani where we live.  A few years ago the city of Drobo requested a few boreholes.  After assessing the need the church agreed to do 5 boreholes for this community.  The Church doesn't really have a presence here yet, but we met many wonderful people that are excited about missionaries coming to their area.  It is such a great experience to witness how much the Savior loves these people.  He knows them and he knows theirs needs.  He stands ready to bless them.

Our dear friend Becky wanted to do something nice for the missionaries in her area of Oxford England after visiting us last month.  She told me she did a little research and found this group of missionaries in her area and bought pizza for them.  This is how the love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ gets paid forward.  These missionaries I am certain were very grateful for your generous lunch!

Our good friends the Vousden's went home to England this month.  We miss them dearly but we know they missed their children, grandchildren and home as well.  They were great examples of diligent service to the Lord.  Sister Vousden had an amazing adventurous spirit that I loved and shared with her.  She had a strong desire to be a representative of Jesus Christ.  She taught primary, gave piano lessons and shared love with all she met.  Elder Vousden is an ordained Patriarch and was given special permission to give Patriarchal blessings while on his mission.  We live in a remote area so this blessed the people here greatly.  It's a bit difficult to get a patriarchal blessing here because we live in a district and they would have to travel to Kumasi to receive a blessing at great sacrifice to them.  It was very difficult to say goodbye to such great friends, but we will see them again.

This is our Good friend Akurugu Francis.  Akurugu came to us a year ago and asked us to help him submit his mission papers.  He asked us to help him learn how to pray in English using prayer language.  We saw him develop good habits that prepared him for missionary service.  He leaves on his mission in 2 weeks for the Accra West Mission.  We are so proud of him!  He already has the missionary glow!

Our days have been filled with plenty of documentation work finishing up the last of our projects.  Now and then I get to help out with dental needs of the missionaries that serve here.  I have been continuing the best I can with piano lessons, but materials have been difficult to receive so I am doing the best with what I have.  We have also had the opportunity to teach family history to the YSA's at institute.  I was not sure how that was going to go over, but we have had a great experience and we have felt the Holy Ghost present as we teach.  We are pressing forward every week to introduce gospel literacy in every branch.  It is coming together small small, but it is coming.  Some days I wonder if a difference is being made at all, because there is so much need here.  Maybe the most change has occurred within myself.  My testimony has been strengthened, my capacity to love has increased and my desire to be a better disciple has become greater.  I am so grateful for this experience.  It has not been easy.  Missions are not supposed to be easy.  With that being said Elder Fuell and I have had a lot of good times too.  We have enjoyed serving.

We pray that God will lead you all in your efforts and we send our love and testimonies to you.  This is The Savior's gospel, he loves his children and he knows each one of you and is aware of your needs.
With Love
Elder and Sister Fuell
