Missionary service is the best!!

Good morning to you all from Ghana.  We are busy here going about doing good.  I have loved serving a senior couples mission.  It has been very nice and refreshing to get out of the rat race of making a living and just immerse ourselves in serving others.  I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering serving.  It has been an amazing experience for Elder Fuell and I.  We have had some hard days and we have experienced some struggles here and there, but I have still enjoyed every minute of this experience! This is our dear friend Akuragu.  Akuragu came to us about a year ago and asked us to help him with his English.  He wanted to be able to say the Sacrament prayer better, with out mistakes.  We also helped him prepare himself for his mission.  His biological Mother died and this is his Mommy that has raised him from about 16 years on.  Her name is Juliet.  He asked us to drive him two hours to Kumasi to the missio...

Heavenly Father Loves all of His Children

Good morning friends and family!  It is morning here.  We pray all are doing well by the grace of God. This last month has literally been a blur, but I will get started about all that we have been doing.  We had our handover ceremony of equipment for children and adults with physical and mental challenges. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints donated wheel chairs, lifting straps, shower chairs and sewing machines to this organization that helps the people who need these items.  You might ask why they needed sewing machines?  They teach the handicapped children and adults to sew items to sell to help them learn as much self reliance as they can.  This fit our plan of the kind of organizations that the church likes to help.  We also felt the love of Jesus Christ as we were helping them.  It was an experience that we will not forget. This is our dear Elder Wright sharing our Savior's love with a young down syndrome boy and his mother...

Rebecca's Visit and many projects underway

We have been doing plenty of traveling.  We made a quick trip to Kumasi to check on some projects and while we were there the area asked us to stop by a hospital and put some stickers on items the church donated to the hospital. We stopped by our friends at "Better Life for Women" and gave them some stickers to put on donated equipment for children and young adults with physical and mental challenges. members of the "Better Life for Women" Organization This organization goes into the homes of physically and mentally challenged adults and children to offer physical and occupational therapy to these friends.  Ghana is challenging enough to navigate so we felt like this was a group we could support with a little help from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We will be handing over these donations to the community soon! We stopped by KATH hospital in Kumasi and tagged some donations there as well This hospital bed was amongst many donations that were give...

Temple rendering of the Kumasi Temple by Elder Milan Miller We have plenty to catch up on, so this might be a long post. We have been very busy getting a gospel literacy class going in a little town called Duyaw Nkwanta.  The Gospel literacy classes are so amazing.  We are starting in the first book where we teach them the ABC's and we introduce a gospel topic as well as learn a letter.  These humble people are so excited to learn to read and write in English.  I know it will greatly bless their lives.  We introduce the class and then we turn it over to a teacher from amongst their peers who can speak english and Twi.  We have 11 other congregations that we need to get it started in. These are the beautiful ladies that were interested in learning English Sadly, we have been saying goodbye to good friends and missionaries.  We are quickly becoming old in the mission.  Our good friends Elder and Sister Hess have been transferred to Accra to b...
